Radical feminists, posing as LDS women, are influencing many of the women of the Church to accept teachings contrary to the scriptures and modern prophets. What is their primary objective?
Great LDS gift ideas here, such as the Constitution of the Kingdom of God from the recently released Joseph Smith Papers Project
Ignorant women (sorry but true) ANY woman who has been through the temple already HAVE the higher priesthood, they just don’t hold an office. They can be Mormom, I am a woman who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. “Mormon Feminists could never be taken seriously because they do not know the facts nor the truth.
Betty for president !
No, women are not given the Melchizedek priesthood in the temple. Why do I even have to say that?
The priesthood comes with priesthood responsibilities. They are intimately tied together. There is no free priesthood ride where you have the priesthood but none of the responsibilities. How are you a priest without priestly duties? That is no priest at all.
Also, the text of the endowment is quite plain about who women are priests and queens to. It is wildly unpolitically correct, and it agrees precisely with this John Taylor statement:
“And while He has called us to high privileges, to thrones and principalities and dominions, and to be saviors on Mount Zion, and to be kings and priests unto God, and our wives, queens and priestesses unto their husbands, while God has ordained us for this, in the name of Israel’s God we will try and carry it out. ” (JD 22:297)
Properly understood, “positions of leadership” is a misnomer. The reality is that Elder’s Quorum Presidencies, Bishoprics, Stake Presidencies and on ‘up’ the line are administrators. Administration is a word meaning essentially “all things that are done in order to facilitate the ministry”. The only people who want these callings are those who have never been close enough to them to see the very real sacrifices associated with them. Aside from that, there is no scriptural injunction against the laying on of hands by women – the only requirement in scripture is faith in Christ: D/C 84:64-74.
Very interesting video. Some matters are rooted in tradition and are subject to change. One of my favorites is where Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 that “As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.” Thanks goodness this changed! However, other things are doctrinal and are not subject to change, except by the Lord’s instruction. I think that who gets to hold the priesthood is a doctrinal issue.
Feminism is cancer
